How much does it cost?
Monthly bookkeeping starts at $199. Your rate depends on your monthly expense volume. We'll give you an exact quote after looking at your numbers.
My books are behind. Can you help?
Yes. We do catch-up work to bring your books current. Pricing is project-based and depends on how far back we need to go and how much cleanup is involved.
Is there a contract?
No long-term contract. This is a month-to-month service. You can cancel anytime.
How do I send you documents?
We set up a secure portal for uploads. You can also email documents if that's easier. We'll walk you through everything on our first call.
Do we need to meet in person?
Not required. Everything can be handled remotely. If you're on Long Island and prefer to meet in person, we can arrange that.
What software do you work with?
We work with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. For payroll setup, we work with Gusto and ADP. If you're using something else, we can discuss whether it makes sense to keep it or transition.
What do I need to do each month?
Connect your bank feeds and upload any receipts we can't pull automatically. Answer a question or two if something looks off. Most clients spend less than 15 minutes a month on this.
Do you handle payroll?
We do payroll system setup and training. We'll configure Gusto or ADP for your business and show you how to run it yourself. This is a one-time setup service, not ongoing payroll processing.
Do you file taxes?
No. We prepare your books so your CPA has clean financials at year-end. We handle 1099 preparation for your contractors, but income tax filing stays with your accountant.
How quickly do you respond?
Same day or next business day. If you reach out with a question during the week, you'll hear back quickly.
How soon can you start?
Usually within a week. If your books need cleanup first, we start there. If they're current, we move straight into monthly service.
What do I need to get started?
Access to your accounting software and recent bank statements. If you don't have QuickBooks set up yet, we can handle that for you. We'll cover everything we need on our first call.
